Nubia, the company focused on gaming smartphones and accessories, has brought new products to MWC 2025 in Barcelona. The ZTE-born firm not only offers the powerful premium flagships in the RedMagic and Z series. It also has mid-range phones to bring high-quality gaming experiences to more affordable segments. In line with that, there is the new nubia Neo 3 series, with the nubia Neo 3 GT 5G at the helm.
Nubia Neo 3 GT 5G, the most powerful in the lineup
The new lineup has three models: the nubia Neo 3 GT 5G, nubia Neo 3 5G, and nubia Neo 3 4G. However, the company is mainly promoting the GT model by revealing all its key specs. Anyway, the entire series brings improvements to the signature features of the firm’s Neo series. This includes the shoulder triggers, the linear haptic motor, immersive lighting, and a powerful cooling system. There are also multiple software optimizations with gaming in mind.
The new nubia Neo 3 GT 5G is built around a Full HD+ OLED display (2392 x 1080 px) at a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the UNISOC T9100 chip. The company has been using UNISOC chips in its gaming mid-rangers for some time now with solid results. The device will be available with up to 24 GB of dynamic RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The phone integrates a large 4083 mm² VC (vapor chamber) cooling system to guarantee sustained high performance during long gaming sessions. Plus, a huge 6,000 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging will keep the lights on. A Z-axis linear motor offers immersive haptic feedback, while DTS:X Ultra speakers will enhance the experience.
Optimization to get the most out of the hardware
The nubia Neo 3 GT 5G is not the most powerful device on the market. However, there are multiple software optimizations to squeeze the most out of the hardware. The AI NeoTurbo performance engine manages resources while you’re playing. A frame rate stabilization engine seeks to make the experience as fluid as possible. Gaming Space 3.0 offers you options and settings to customize your gaming experience. There’s also Demi, an AI assistant that will offer you personalized tips.
Camera quality has never been the main feature in gaming phones, much less in mid-rangers. The nubia Neo 3 GT 5G keeps up the trend with a 50 MP main sensor that promises to take decent photos powered by Neovision AI Photography tech. The device also integrates some AI-powered features that can be quite useful. For example, you’ll find options for real-time translation of calls and conversations.
The ZTE nubia Neo 3 GT 5G will be available from March, although its prices are still unknown.
