Even though it feels like we just had the Summer Olympics (because we did), the Winter Olympics are starting in less than a month, live from Beijing. And YouTube TV will be broadcasting it in 4K. Well, at least some events.

If you’re a YouTube TV subscriber, you’ve probably seen the pop-up about the Winter Olympics.

The pop-up is basically reminding you to add the Winter Olympics to your DVR, so you can watch everything you wish to watch, and also letting you know that you’ll be able to watch in 4K. Now, not everything will be in 4K, the pop-up does say that some events will be in 4K while others will not. But you’ll also need to sign up for the 4K add-on which costs $19.99 per month. However, the first time you sign up, it’s just $9.99 per month for your first year.

YouTube TV’s unlimited DVR makes the Olympics an amazing experience

By far, YouTube TV’s biggest and most popular feature is the unlimited cloud DVR. It allows you to record everything (and we mean everything) you want, and never run out of space. It is truly unlimited. You can also keep these in your library for nine months (most shows and movies will re-record again within those nine months, so that really only applies to sports).

And with something like the Olympics, where there is stuff happening virtually 24/7 – especially with it being in Beijing and them being 13 hours ahead – you can record it all and watch later on.

This also allows you to watch the events that are of interest to you, and skip the ones that aren’t. Don’t forget, you’ll be able to fast-forward through the commercials too. Making it a really enjoyable experience.

If you’re not already a YouTube TV subscriber, you can sign up today by clicking here. Normally, it would cost you $64.99 per month, but right now you can get it for $54.99 for your first three months.
