Best Buy is dropping the price on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 9 tablet by a whopping $440 which brings the price down to $1,099.99. Normally the model that’s on sale retails for $1,539.99 so this is a pretty big discount for what you’re getting.
As this is a tablet it’s meant to be ultra-portable. And as such it comes with a smaller display at 13-inches. But that’s still plenty big enough to get work done on whether that work is for school or actual work. Plus the Surface Pro 9 runs on Windows 11. Which means you get a full PC in the formfactor of a tablet. The Surface Pro 9 is great because it comes with the Surface keyboard. When you need to type you can attach the keyboard magnetically and then pop out the tablet’s kickstand, and you’re good to go. And when you’re done you can close the kickstand and close the whole thing up like a laptop.
The fact that it’s a tablet though makes this incredibly thin. And that makes for the ultra-portability. On the inside this has 256GB of storage which isn’t a ton, but it should be more than enough for storing files, documents, some photos, and the occasional video or game. Unfortunately the Surface Pro 9 does not support expandable storage. It does however come in models with more internal memory. The tablet is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and it has 16GB of RAM. It’s perfectly capable of playing games if you adjust the graphics settings. But you can also set up and play games on it using Xbox Game Pass or GeForce NOW with a compatible Xbox controller.
