The Xiaomi Pad 6 series specs have surfaced online, and they seem promising. This information comes from a well-known Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station. He shared the info via Weibo.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 series specs have just surfaced
The tipster claims that there will be two models, the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. Both models are tipped to include 11-inch 2800 x 1800 displays. Those displays will offer a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, and will offer 120Hz/144Hz refresh rates. The thing is, these will seemingly be IPS LCD panels, not OLED displays.
He doesn’t seem to be sure about the refresh rates just yet. If these turn out to be IPS LCD panels, however, chances are that we’re looking at 144Hz displays, based on some other products. Speaking of displays, HDR10+ content will be supported, as will Dolby Vision.
The Snapdragon 870 SoC will likely fuel the Xiaomi Pad 6, while the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is tipped to be included inside the ‘Pro’ model. The two tablets will offer up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. We still don’t know what the combos will be, but the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage combo is probably reserved for the ‘Pro’ model.
Both tablets will include fingerprint scanners, and fast charging
Fingerprint scanners will also be a part of the package. Each of the tablets will likely have one included inside the power/lock button. The last piece of info the tipster shared has to do with charging, he mentioned 67W fast charging.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro arrived back in 2021. In 2022, Xiaomi released the Pad 5 Pro 12.4, while the Redmi Pad also launched. This year, the company is apparently planning to launch the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.
We’re not really sure when will those devices launch, but the Xiaomi Pad 5 launched in August 2021. So, if that’s any indication, don’t expect them to arrive anytime soon.
