The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is certified for up to a whopping 500,000 folds
Xiaomi says that it has been certified by TÜV Rheinland. The phone has a 3-element connecting rod structure, and a 1,800 MPa ultra-high strength steel. This steel is supposed to give the screen wrap-around protection.
The company also revealed that the phone will be equipped with an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED display. That panel will offer QHD resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate by the way. We’ll also get a max brightness of 2,600 nits here.
In regards to its battery life, Xiaomi says that the phone will offer a battery life of 1.34 days. The company says it achieved this through the incorporation of a dual-cell battery system. Well, that, and the incorporation of its Surge chips, three of them. We still don’t know the battery capacity, but a 4,800mAh battery is rumored.
Four cameras will be included on the back, along with Leica’s lenses
The device will feature four cameras on the back, backed by Leica. The main shooter will be a 50-megapixel unit, but we still don’t have the details. What we do know is that one of the cameras will be a periscope telephoto unit. If we had to guess, we’d say that wide, ultrawide, telephoto, and periscope telephoto units will be used.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will almost certainly be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The company is rumored to offer 67W wired, and 50W wireless charging on the phone. LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 will probably also be included.
