The Xiaomi 13 Pro is the most powerful smartphone the company announced today. We’ve already covered its announcement, and are here to take a closer look at the Xiaomi 13 Pro specifications.
Needless to say, this phone has a lot to offer in the spec department, so there’s plenty to talk about here. Before we get down to it, let’s just say that the phone is made out of metal and ceramic. In China, different backplate versions are available, but globally, only ceramic variants are included.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro includes a powerful set of specifications, led by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
Now, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC from Qualcomm fuels the device. That is Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, and an immensely powerful chip. Xiaomi paired it with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage.
A 6.73-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1440) AMOLED display is used here. That panel is curved, and Xiaomi is using Samsung’s E6 panel here. That display offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and it ranges from 1-120Hz, as needed. It also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
This panel also gets very bright. It can get up to 1,900 nits at its peak, if needed. It also has the P3 color gamut, and can project over 1 billion colors. We’re looking at a 20:9 display aspect ratio here, and 522 ppi.
HDR10+ is supported here, as is Dolby Vision. Xiaomi also made sure to include 1,920 PWM dimming. Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus protects this panel. Spec-wise, it’s one of the best displays in the market at the moment.
Android 13 comes pre-installed, while 120W charging is supported
Android 13 comes pre-installed on the Xiaomi 13 Pro, along with Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 skin. A 4,820mAh battery is also included in the package. This phone supports 120W HyperCharge wired charging, and 50W wireless turbo charging. On top of that, 10W reverse wireless charging is also on offer. Do note that Xiaomi does provide a 120W charger in the box.
There is a set of stereo speakers included here. Those speakers do come with Dolby Atmos support, by the way. There are also two SIM card slots included (2x nano SIM), and the phone supports WI-Fi 7. It also has support for Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G (NSA + SA). The phone is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro utilizes a 1-inch camera sensor with Leica lenses
Xiaomi is very proud of the cameras here. The Xiaomi 13 Pro includes a 50-megapixel main camera (wide-angle, Sony’s IMX989 1-inch sensor, 1.6um pixel size, 4-in-1 Super Pixel, f/1.9 aperture, 8P lens, Hyper OIS) on the back. That camera is assisted by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 14mm lens, 6P lens, 115-degree FoV), and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.0 aperture, OIS, Focal Shift tech, Xiaomi ProFocus). All three cameras are covered by Leica lenses.
A single 32-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, 89.6-degree FoV, Dynamic Framing (0.8x, 1x), 4-in-1 Super Pixel, HDR) sits on the front side of the phone.
It comes in Ceramic Black & Ceramic White options
