Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is only two days away… but, we pretty much know everything there is to know about what’s being announced. Regardless, Evan Blass just gave us the mother of all leaks by leaking the actual press release for the Galaxy Tab S8 tablets.

The press release confirms the specs for the Galaxy Tab S8 tablets

While we’re all excited about the Galaxy S22 line of phones, Samsung will also be launching the next iterations in its Galaxy Tab S8 series. We’ve gotten a lot of information about these so far, but a lot of it is speculation. However, we just got a massive leak: the press release for the Galaxy Tab S8.

The information lines up with the leaks we got over the past couple of days. We know that the smallest tablet will have an 11-inch LCD display at 2650 x 1600 resolution. It will have an 8,000mAh battery which is pretty standard for a tablet. The Galaxy Tab S8 will have both 8GB and 12GB of RAM and between 128GB and 256GB of storage.

The Galaxy S8+ sits as next in line with a 12.6-inch Super AMOLED display at 2800 x 1752 resolution. This variant has a 10,090mAh battery and it shares the RAM and storage configurations with the Tab S8 base model.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has the most robust specs of the group. This tablet has a massive 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display at 2960 x 1848 resolution. The large 11,200mAh battery will keep the lights on which is 40% bigger than the Galaxy Tab S8’s battery.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has more selections when it comes to RAM and storage. We have 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB configuration options. This tablet sits as the top-tier offering among the three variants.

What other information was revealed?

All three of the variants will have fast charging at up to 45Watts, 5G connectivity (depending on the model you buy), and quad-speakers tuned by AKG. If you’re worried that the S Pen will be sold separately, don’t; it will come in the box with all three variants.

When it comes to colors, the two lower-tier tablets will have three color options: Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver (the Ultra will only have Graphite). By contrast, the two upper-tier tablets will have under-display fingerprint scanners while the Galaxy Tab S8 will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

What about the prices?

Right now, the prices remain speculation, but we have a solid idea. The Galaxy Tab S8 may cost $699 while the Plus variant might cost $899. The Ultra variant could be the only one to cost over a grand at $1,099. Samsung will announce these tablets soon, and we expect pre-orders to start on the same day.
