Sony is poised to hold its next PlayStation State Of Play event in just over half an hour from now, and it’ll focus on Gran Turismo 7. The latest in the long-running series of real driving simulators. The original Gran Turismo launched as one of the earliest titles for the first PlayStation console. And it’s done well ever since.
Gran Turismo 7 is expected to launch for the PS5 on March 4, and with the release date already known it’s unlikely that this State of Play will be about that. It will however offer players a fresh look at the upcoming game.
Whether you’re a huge Gran Turismo fan or not, if you want to watch the event there’s two ways to do so.
Where to tune in to see new Gran Turismo 7 footage for the PlayStation 5
Sony will be streaming the PlayStation State Of Play via YouTube and Twitch. You can catch the YouTube stream here from the video above. While we know there will be new footage of the game Sony has been tight lipped about exactly what the footage will revolve around.
It does note however that the event will be about 30 minutes long. Expect Sony to talk about new game features and potentially other unreleased details. Do not however expect there to be any information about other game titles or hardware.
Sony says this State Of Play video is focused on this one game. Which probably means the entire thing is about Gran Turismo 7.
This is the first State Of Play for 2022
This is Sony’s first State Of Play event of the year. So, even though it’s focused one upcoming title, there will be many more throughout 2022. As is always the case with these virtual events, temper your expectations. If there were going to be any major surprises, Sony probably wouldn’t have said anything about which games the event will focus on.
At the time of writing there is 38 minutes left before the event starts, which is at 2PM PST. Which means there’s plenty of time for you to grab a snack, grab a drink, and get comfortable. Maybe even play a game for a few to get more hyped up.
