Season 2 of Loki is already getting wildly praised as a return to form for the MCU following the disastrous Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Secret Invasion. While we were hesitant about setting off fireworks before watching the whole thing – given Marvel’s track record of ruining things right at the finish line – that fourth episode might have just sealed the deal.
The season picked up right where the previous left off. Sylvie killing He Who Remains completely destabilized the TVA and caused all kinds of temporal chaos that she, Loki, and Mobius must now fix. Although the discovery of Victor Timely, a Kang variant from the late 19th Century, renewed the team’s hopes that the Temporal Loom would be fixed, a disastrous setback in episode 4 has just rocked the MCU to its very core.
Is there a post-credits scene in episode 1 of Loki‘s season 2?
Yes. You’ll surely be happy to learn that the first episode of the God of Mischief’s second solo outing wraps up with a little teaser for an upcoming storyline. And not just any storyline at that. In the extra post-credits scene, we get a sneak peek at Sylvie’s whereabouts, following her brave (and a little senseless) decision to put her dagger through Kang’s heart.
The vengeful Loki variant is now hiding out in Broxton, Oklahoma in 1982. Right after she arrives, she heads to a McDonald’s (understandable) and is instantly amazed by the happy and peaceful lifestyle everyone seems to be enjoying. A loving couple and a group of friends stand out to her, as she wistfully states, “I wanna try everything.”
Fans of the show will recall that Sylvie was brutally ripped from her timeline in Asgard when she was just a child by Ravonna Renslayer and denied a chance at a normal life surrounded by her family. She swore revenge against the TVA from that point on, simultaneously trying to escape and destroy the organization. So she, more than anyone, deserves a happy meal.
Is there a post-credits scene in episode 2 of Loki‘s season 2?
This time around Marvel did not include a post-credits scene at the end of Loki. The second season’s second episode came to a close with Loki and Sylvie once again on opposite ends of the multiverse. The God of Mischief stayed behind at the TVA to help fix the Temporal Loom and stop Kang’s looming threat, while Sylvie, tired of the TVA’s rotten antics, decided to return to her new job at McDonald’s in Oklahoma. At the very end of the episode, however, we did get a teaser for adventures to come as Sylvie contemplated the TemPad she stole from He Who Remains after killing him in the season 1 finale.
Is there a post-credits scene in episode 3 of Loki‘s season 2?
No. But, if there’s an episode so chock full of action it won’t make you miss an extra teaser at the end, it’s this one. Without ruining all the fun for you with unnecessary spoilers, we can tell you Jonathan Majors is back in a big way for the third episode of Loki‘s second season. Everyone wants a piece of Victor Timely and his sketchy inventions, including a couple of familiar faces we had yet to meet this season. We’re on the edge of our seats for a continuation, but the lack of a post-credits scene makes it all the more exciting.
Is there a post-credits scene in episode 4 of Loki‘s season 2?
No. And it looks like we won’t have another one until the last episode judging by how the season is going. But, oof, what an episode! MCU fans haven’t been this taken aback and genuinely concerned for the future of their favorite characters since Thanos got his way in Infinity War. We have a lot more questions than we have answers right now, but if you were too distracted by that ending to check for a post-credits scene, worry not, there wasn’t one.
Just sit back, revel in the destruction, and come back here next week.
