In addition to announcing the Vivo X Fold, its very first foldable smartphone, Vivo also announced the Vivo X Note during its event. This is a high-end smartphone with a tablet-sized display.
The Vivo X Note comes with a huge 7-inch LTPO AMOLED display
Many flagship smartphones these days have large displays, but this one takes it to a new level. The Vivo X Note comes with a 7-inch display, which we’ll talk about soon. It’s worth noting that this phone resembles the Vivo X Fold when it comes to general design language, though it’s not foldable, of course.
It includes really thin bezels, and a curved display, It also has a centered display camera hole on that display. An alert slider is placed on the left, while all the physical buttons sit on the right. The phone includes four cameras on the back.
It also has a large 47,132mm2 cooling area, and a large ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Its motherboard adopts an integrated arch bridge structure.
The Vivo X Note features a 7-inch QHD+ (3080 x 1440) E5 AMOLED display from Samsung. This is an LTPO display that offers an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz), and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 fuels the device, while Android 12 comes pre-installed
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 fuels this smartphone, while it is offered in both 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM flavors. The 8GB RAM model comes with 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, while the 12GB RAM variant is available in both 256GB and 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage.
Android 12 comes pre-installed on the phone, while OriginOS Ocean comes pre-installed on this Chinese variant. If the phone ends up arriving to global markets, it’ll likely have Funtouch OS.
80W wired, and 50W wireless charging is supported
A 5,000mAh battery is also a part of the package, and it supports 80W wired charging, in addition to 50W wireless charging. 10W reverse wireless charging is also a part of the package.
The phone does support both Dual 4G VoLTE and 5G SA/NSA. Bluetooth 5.2 LE support is also included, as is an NFC chip, and USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen1).
There is a periscope camera included here as well
Now, in regards to cameras, this phone is really well-equipped. A 50-megapixel main camera (Samsung’s GN1 sensor, f/1.57 aperture, OIS, ZEISS T* coating, V1 chip) is backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (114-degree FoV, Sony’s IMX598 sensor, f/2.2 aperture). A 12-megapixel portrait camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor, f/1.98 aperture) can also be found on the back, and so can an 8-megapixel periscope camera (f/3.4 aperture, OIS, 5x optical zoom, 60x super zoom, laser autofocus).
A single 16-megapixel camera (f/2.45) sits on the front side of this smartphone. The device also includes stereo speakers, and it is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
The Vivo X Note measures 168.78 x 80.31 x 8.37mm (Black) / 8.75mm (Gray and Blue). The Black model weighs 221 grams, while the Gray and Blue models weigh 216 grams. The pricing of this smartphone begins at CNY5,999 ($942) in China. We’re not sure if it will be coming to more markets.
