Ulefone unveils Power Armor 16S, a rugged phone with a large speaker

Ulefone has just announced a new smartphone, the Power Armor 6S. This is basically an upgraded version of the Ulefone Power Armor 16 Pro. Based on its name, you can figure out it’s a rugged phone with a huge battery, but it also comes with a large speaker.

Now, the main selling points of its smartphone are its ruggedness, huge battery, and speaker on the back. The device is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified. Not only can it survive water and dust, but it’s also a tough cookie. You can drop it without a problem.

In fact, if you watch the aforementioned promo video, you’ll see a person using it as a hammer, even. Ulefone is that confident when it comes to its rugged devices. The company has plenty of experience in that field.

A 9,600mAh battery is included, along with a large speaker

Anyhow, there is also a 9,600mAh battery included here. Needless to say, that’s a huge battery pack. The phone supports 18W wired and 10W wireless charging, in case you were wondering.

In regards to the speaker, it’s one of the largest on any phone. That speaker measures 36mm in diameter and features a large 11.5cc sound cavity. It has a rated power of 3.5W and can achieve up to 122dB when it comes to loudness. It also delivers “HiFi quality sound”. It’s perfect for the outdoors.

The company also included a 126-lumen flashlight on this phone, which is also a considerable upgrade compared to regular smartphone flashlights.

The Ulefone Power Armor 16S has a 5.93-inch HD+ display, and it’s fueled by the Unisoc T616 octa-core CPU. Android 13 comes pre-installed on the phone, while the company included 8GB of RAM here. The device also packs in 128GB of storage, which is expandable, by the way.
