Data Wing is also a really witty game. Throughout the game, the computer system communicates with you and tells you what’s what. Its dialogue is really witty and funny and honestly cracked me up from time to time.

If you like word games, then you might like Word Logic. This is a puzzler that has you unscrambling words and matching them with pictures.
Each level, you’re given a subject like “National foods” or “Cat Breeds.” Then, you’re presented with a grid of blocks; some blocks contain pictures, and the others contain sections of words. You have to assemble the words, and match those words with the pictures that represent them.
The only currency in the game is gold coins, and you use those coins on hints. You earn coins by completing stages, but you can also buy them with real money. There are ads between stages, but you can pay $9.99 to get rid of them.

Your character doesn’t run from place to place as in the original, but he jumps. You swipe to have your character jump and slide to your destination. Whenever an enemy makes eye contact with you, you can shoot them. It can be tough getting used to the gameplay mechanics, but it’s not too hard.
There’s only one in-app purchase. When you die, you need to watch an ad to restart the level (or start the level at all). However, you can pay the one-time fee of $2.99 to remove this. That’s a really good price for such a fun game.

Grimvalor is one of the more fleshed-out offline games. It is a pretty popular hack-and-slash game that was also released on the Nintendo Switch. It’s really simple and straightforward in nature, but it has a really deep and lore that you learn bit by bit as you play along. The story is told with fully voiced cutscenes, which is rare for offline games.
What really makes this game fun is the set of fluid and responsive combat controls. Your character’s attacks are quick and precise. This makes fighting multiple enemies a rewarding experience (that and the fact that this is a pretty challenging game). The combat can be a bit stagnant at the very beginning, but you learn different types of attacks as you progress.
It’s not a really linear game; each path you go has different alternate paths that you can discover other rooms, treasures, and enemies. You’ll find yourself going back and replaying levels to find different paths.
You can download the first chapter for free, but the full game will run you $6.99. That’s not a bad price for what you’re getting. If you don’t want to pay for the full game, you can get it for free if you’re a Google Play Pass member.

A really fun aspect of Archero is the selection of powerups you can collect as you play. Every time you level up, you get to choose a randomly generated powerup, and these powerups actually stack! You can stack up to 10 powerups for an all-out assault.
