The Pixel 8 Pro will launch later this year, and a new concept surfaced, giving us a realistic look at the phone’s design. This concept design comes from Technizo Concept, and it has been shared by YouTube.
This Pixel 8 Pro concept design is likely very close to the phone’s real design
The video itself is embedded below the article, and it has a duration of around two minutes. One and a half minutes are reserved for the phone showcase, though. The Pixel 8 Pro did surface in CAD-based renders a while back, and this design is obviously based on those.
Chances are those CAD-based renders are accurate and the same goes for this concept. That being said, you can see the phone from various angles in this video, and also its retail box, which is probably close to what the real-life version will look like.
The phone itself has very thin bezels, a centered display camera hole, and it’s made out of metal and glass. It has that camera strip on the back, similar to the one on the Pixel 7 Pro, but not identical.
You’ll notice two circular elements on the right side, in addition to the pill-shaped cutout on the camera visor. The phone includes three cameras on the back, in addition to some sensors on the side. Yes, one of those circular elements is reserved for an LED flash.
The device will include a periscope telephoto camera
You will notice that one of the cameras on the back is a periscope telephoto one. Google seems to be ready to make a jump in that direction, and it will certainly be interesting to see the company’s implementation.
Google did an excellent job with the telephoto camera on the Pixel 7 Pro, so we’re quite optimistic about this implementation. That camera visor on the back does protrude, of course., but it’ll prevent the phone from wobbling on the table.
The Pixel 8 Pro will most likely arrive in October, alongside the Pixel 8. The phone will be fueled by the Google Tensor G3 SoC, and it will have a larger QHD+ OLED display on the front. That panel will be of the LTPO variety.
The phone may even get a new main camera, the ISOCELL GN2 sensor. Android 14 will come pre-installed out of the box, and more.
