Montblanc has just launched a brand-new version of the Summit 3 smartwatch featuring a special limited-edition Naruto theme. The collaboration is part of a celebration of the Naruto anime’s 20th anniversary, which happened back at the beginning of this month.
Naruto originally aired in Japan on October 3 of 2002. And during its long 20-year run the franchise has gained a massive following. Not only has the anime been localized into multiple languages and made available to watch globally, but the franchise itself has seen numerous brand collaborations. From clothing to all kinds of merch. Naruto has even made its way into the tech world. Earlier this year Chinese smartphone brand Realme launched a Naruto version of its GT Neo 3.
And last month HyperX launched a Naruto collection of some of its gaming peripherals. The anime, and the franchise in general, has become a huge cultural phenomenon thanks to its creative storytelling and diverse cast of loveable characters. And Montblanc is celebrating that creative storytelling with its Naruto collection.
The Naruto Montblanc Summit 3 comes with special detailing
This isn’t just another Summit 3 with some exclusive animated Naruto watch faces. It does have those, though. Rather, Montblanc has carefully designed this limited-edition version of the watch with various details that pay homage to the series and the character.
The black leather strap is embossed with the symbol of Hidden Leaf Village. Then accented with orange thread that evokes Naruto’s signature orange jumpsuit. Even the underside of the strap is coated in Naruto’s signature orange color. Where you’ll also find the Naruto logo embossed on one end and the Montblanc logo on the other.
You’ll also find notable Naruto details around the watch case. Circling the edge are crossed kunai knives and shuriken. There’s even detailing on two of the three crown buttons, one of them featuring the Uzumaki clan symbol. To top it all off, the watch comes in Naruto-themed packaging.
While this is definitely a collector’s piece for the ultimate Naruto fan, be ready to pay up. Because the watch retails for $1,570. In addition to the watch, Montblanc’s Naruto collection includes a variety of other luxury goods. Such as pens, a sling bag, airpods case, tote and more. All the products are available online through Montblanc’s website and at select Montblanc boutiques.
