We’re still awaiting invites for the iPhone 15 event, which is set to take place on September 12. But that’s not stopping concept artists from rendering things like the retail box for the iPhone 15 Pro.
This latest concept comes from @chandlerbongzz, and it looks pretty realistic. Especially the more mute colors we’re seeing on the Pro models this year. It’s pretty identical to the iPhone 14 Pro box from last year, with the really only change being the wallpaper on the phone. Last year, we saw a larger change because Apple ditched the notch for Dynamic Island.
But, Apple could pull a switcheroo here, as they do tend to use the front of the phone on the box one year, and then the back of the phone the next year. So we could see the back of the phone on the box this time around. That’s something that Apple has done since the iPhone XS a few years ago.
iPhone 15 Pro should start shipping on September 22
Invites for the iPhone event are set to go out today, and depict a September 12 event. That would mean pre-orders start on September 15, and then the device will start shipping on September 22.
Now we have heard that the iPhone 15 Pro Max or Ultra is set to be shipping a bit later than the other models. So it could be coming in October, versus September. So do keep that in mind. This does happen from time to time. For example, last year the iPhone 14 Plus was delayed a month. And in 2020, the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max were both delayed until November (after the other iPhones were delayed until October).
Having said that, we are in the thick of things now, when it comes to the iPhone. The event is just about two weeks away, and that means it’s going to be all about the iPhone 15 and the new Apple Watch for the next month or so.
