This is higher than what we initially expected and could put the phone well out of reach for the majority of iPhone users. This is because Apple’s most expensive iPhone, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, is already at $1,199 (for the 256GB base model).
This means that the foldable iPhone will cost twice as much as the most expensive normal iPhone. For context, the device will also be more expensive than the competition. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 is priced at $1,899, so it seems that Apple is making its device more expensive than its rivals.
We’re not sure how Apple plans to justify the price. In terms of specs, chances are it will use the same Apple A-series chipset as the iPhone 18 series.
