Following findings that Canalys shared recently, Omdia had something to say regarding the global smartphone market. The company shared the numbers which show that the global smartphone shipments continue to rise year-on-year (YoY). Omdia shared the top 10 smartphone manufacturers at the moment.

Omdia has shared a list of the top 10 smartphone manufacturers in Q2 2024

The market research company said that smartphone shipments totaled 290.3 million units in Q2 this year. That is a 9.3% growth compared to the same period last year. It is a decline of 3.2% compared to Q1 2024, but still, this does indicate a “stabilization in the industry following significant growth and subsequent decline in recent years”.

As already mentioned, the company did share a list of the top 10 smartphone manufacturers, which you can check out below the article. All the companies on the list have marked a growth compared to the same period last year.

Out of all of them, Huawei, Motorola, Xiaomi, and Realme grew the most. Huawei increased its shipments by over 50%, while the other three companies managed to increase their shipments by over 20% compared to Q2 2023. Let’s start from the top, though.
