ECOVACS has come to CES 2022 with a brand new robot vacuum, in a new lineup from the company, the X1. This is the ECOVACS X1 Omni, which brings in a few new features.

There’s an all-new auto-empty dock available on the X1 Omni, which can empty the dirt and debris as expected. But it can also clean and dry the mops. This is similar to what the recently announced Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is able to do. It will also auto-refill the tank, thanks to the 4-liter clean water tank in the dock. Now because that water is being used to clean the mop too, it may not last as long as you’d like.

Similar to its other robot vacuums, the X1 Omni has Auto-Avoidance, thanks to AIVI 3D. Which combines two leading obstacle avoidance technologies to clean around real-world clutter with preceision. The AIVI 3.0 camera is able to see and identify common household objects. Using TrueDetect 2.0, the laser depth scanning is able to create a precise 3D scan of the space ahead. Finally, the X1 Omni has a new dedicated AI processor which is 16X more powerful and is also 20X faster at recognizing objects.

Why does my robot vacuum need two mops?

The ECOVACS X1 Omni has dual spinning mops, which can rotate at 180RPM. Which will allow it to get even the most dried on messes off of your floor. It also has quite a bit of suction at 5000Pa – just behind the new Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra which is rated at 5100Pa.

It also gives the robot vacuum a slightly larger area to mop, so that it is less likely to miss a spot. As that’s not something you’d want to have happen.

In addition to the X1 Omni, ECOVACS is also announcing the X1 Turbo and X1 Plus. The X1 Turbo is designed with the OZMO Turbo system and paired with the Auto-Clean Station. But it does not include the Auto-Empty Station. While the X1 Plus is for those that want a superior vacuuming experience. It does include the Auto-Empty Station, but uses the OZMO Pro system for mopping. And also lacks the Auto-Clean Station.

When can I buy these new ECOVACS robot vacuums?

ECOVACS says that the X1 Omni will be available starting in March for $1,549 at Amazon and in April at Best Buy. There will also be a limited edition model that will be sold on ECOVACS’ website in March.

Meanwhile the X1 Turbo and X1 Plus will be a bit cheaper, though there’s no availability mentioned. We’d expect it to also launch around March. The X1 Turbo will cost you $1,349 at ECOVACS’ website, and Amazon. While the X1 Plus will cost $1,149 and available from ECOVACS’ website and Amazon.
