Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley attended a fundraising event at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Monday, June 16. The couple, who went public with their relationship in April, looked happy and in love during their red carpet appearance.
According to Deadline, the country music star, who has built substantial wealth throughout his decades-long career, chose to wear braids, sunglasses, and a black suit for the Royal Academy of Dance event. Hurley wore a light-colored dress for the occasion. The couple was seen smiling and exchanging loving glances throughout the evening.
The romantic outing happened shortly after Hurley’s 60th birthday on June 10, when Cyrus took to Instagram to share his feelings. “Happy birthday to the love of my life,” he wrote under a photo showing Hurley sitting on his lap, both of them smiling.
How their relationship began and grew stronger
The pair first met while filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022, but their relationship didn’t start right away. They reconnected when Hurley reached out to Cyrus during a difficult time in his life.
The couple made their first official appearance together in Rome in May, attending the opening of the Orizzonti/Rosso exhibition at Palazzo Barberini. At a breast cancer research event on May 13, Hurley spoke about their shared interests, saying they both love country music, the countryside, and their children.
Before dating Hurley, Cyrus was married to Tish Cyrus, with whom he shares five children: Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison, and Noah. His relationship with daughter Miley has been particularly strained, with reports that she has ‘totally cut him off’ despite his attempts to reconnect. He also has a son named Christopher Cody from a previous relationship with Kristin Luckey. After his split from Tish in 2022, he married Australian singer Firerose, but their marriage ended in divorce seven months later.
Hurley has also been married before, first to businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2010, and then to Australian cricketer Shane Warne until 2013. She has a son named Damian with businessman Steve Bing. The actress recently celebrated her birthday by posting a photo on Instagram, expressing gratitude for having “the best friends and family in the world” and acknowledging that she’s “in love.”
