It’s now possible to buy NVIDIA’s well-priced GeForce RTX 4060 GPU and you can get it most major retailers like Best Buy. Prices start at $299 but can go up from there depending on the card.
NVIDIA officially announced the GeForce RTX 4060 GPU back in the middle of March of this year. The company confirmed there would be essentially three tiers of graphics cards. This included the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB model which came from NVIDIA’s partners as well as its own Founders Edition variant. Then there was the 16GB model of the 4060 Ti and the standard 4060 which also has 8GB of memory.
Interestingly, the 8GB 4060 Ti went on sale back on May 24 and NVIDIA said the 4060 Ti 16GB and the standard 4060 wouldn’t be available until July. With the GPU going on sale today, NVIDIA has hit an earlier than expected target for launch. Which is great for consumers looking to get an upgrade on their GPU.
You can buy the RTX 4060 GPU from all major retailers
NVIDIA’s GPU will be available from all major retailers NVIDIA says. You can’t buy direct from NVIDIA unless you’re getting the Founders Edition card. But all or most of the other that come from partners like ZOTAC, Colorful, MSI, Gigabyte, PNY and others should be available almost anywhere you can get a GPU. Which of course includes Best Buy but also places like Micro Center, Amazon, Newegg and more.
The GeForce RTX 4060 is a far cry from the most powerful card you can get these days. But it’s hundreds less than the 4080 and 4090 and should be a little less thick. Which would make it easier to fit into more cases. Though you might struggle to fit it into a Mini-ITX case so be sure your case will have room before buying one.
Aside from the price, the DLSS 3 for a big frame rate boost in games is enough reason alone to upgrade to a 40-series card. Provided you’re not already running something like an RTX 3090 Ti.
