Earlier this year Razer launched its Kraken Kitty V2 Pro headset after announcing them at RazerCon last in 2022, and today it’s unleashing two new versions of it to expand the offering with something more affordable. The Kraken Kitty V2 and the Kraken Kitty V2 BT. As you may have surmised, one is wired and one is wireless, but only with the capabilities for connecting via Bluetooth.
Still, a wireless option is good if you don’t like the feeling of cables brushing up against your arm. Even if without Razer’s HyperSpeed wireless connectivity. These two new models are purrfect for gamers everywhere who have a deep love for cats. And as one would have it, today is international cat day. A purrty good time to launch these headsets indeed.
Both will be available directly from Razer at $99.99, which makes them $100 cheaper than the Pro model. Whether or not the $100 savings is worth it is up to you. But think about this. By saving that $100, that’s $100 you could spend on a new game. Now for the really good news. Stray is only $30 on Steam. So you’d still have $70 leftover and a new game about cats to go with your Razer kitty ears headset. Win-win. You’re welcome. If you’ve already got a Kraken headset you love, no worries. Because Razer also launched the Kitty Ears V2 today for $29.99 which you can clip onto your existing headset.

These eye-cat-ching headsets are available from today, but they are exclusive to Razer’s website and Razer stores. For now at least. You can however still get the Pro model from Best Buy. Both the wired and Bluetooth models are available in Quartz, but only the wired model is available in Black.
As for features, you can expect a lot of what’s available on the Pro model. Such as stream reactive lighting, Chroma RGB, and large comfy earcups that feel as soft as the cat you’re probably petting right now. And if you go with the BT model you get up to 60 hours of battery life, so you shouldn’t have to charge them too often.
