HONOR seems to be launching a new phone every day. The brand recently launched the HONOR Power smartphone in China with a massive 8,000mAh battery.
The tech giant is set to launch HONOR GT Pro in China on April 23rd. HONOR has shared a few specs of the phone on its Weibo account. However, the full specs are still under wraps. Before its official launch, the full specs of the HONOR GT Pro have surfaced online.
HONOR GT Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
Popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the full specifications of the HONOR GT Pro on his Weibo account. Additionally, another user reshared this information on X (formerly Twitter), giving us a closer look at what to expect.
HONOR has equipped the GT Pro with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone will pair LPDDR5X Ultra RAM with UFS 4.1 storage for top-tier performance.
The front of the phone will boast a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED panel. It will support 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 2700Hz touch sampling rate. HONOR’s Giant Shield Glass will protect the display. It offers 10x better drop and wear resistance compared to normal glass.
A 7,200mAh battery will fuel the phone. HONOR is using a silicon-carbon battery, which the brand markets as the “Qinghai Lake battery,” similar to the one found in HONOR Power. The phone will also feature the industry’s first SoC voltage regulation chip.
Dual 50MP camera setup
Moving to the optics, the phone is tipped to pack a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main lens with OIS support. The second camera will be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX856 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support. There will also be two additional cameras on the back.
For security, the device will incorporate a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. On top of that, it will carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring strong protection against dust and water.
In terms of audio, it will get Dual 1216 Super-linear Speakers. An X-axis linear motor will be used for haptics. When it comes to connectivity, the phone will house the HONOR C1+ RF Enhanced Chip for better signal reception. Additionally, it will support Dual-band GPS and Tri-band BeiDou.
HONOR GT Pro is said to launch in four storage options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It will be available in White, Black, and Gold color options.
