The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 is right around the corner, and the company has made this new laptop official with an announcement on September 3. The Galaxy Book 5 Pro will help consumers “embrace AI” thanks to the inclusion of hardware like Intel’s Core Ultra processors.
One of the biggest benefits of these CPUs is the ability to more efficiently manage energy use. So you end up with a laptop that has a longer-lasting battery life. And with longer-lasting battery life, you can take the laptop with you and confidently leave the charger at home. Most notably this helps cut down on weight. It also helps you free up some space in your bag. If you’ve ever trekked across campus or traveled with a laptop before, then you know how cumbersome it can be to have your charger with you at all times as a requirement.
They take up extra space, sure. But they also add a few pounds to your overall carry weight. Now this isn’t to say that some users won’t need to keep the charger on their person. However, a laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor, a second-gen one at that, should give you less to worry about when it comes to power concerns. Samsung claims the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 offers “all-day battery life.” So you can expect to use it all day without having to plug it in.
Granted, that will depend on what you do with it. As some tasks will undoubtedly drain the battery life faster. As an example, Samsung says you can expect up to 25 hours of video playback.

Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 in September so that means availability isn’t far off. The company doesn’t mention a specific date but it’ll be sometime within the next few weeks. You’ll also be able to purchase the laptop in the US, UK, France, Germany, and Canada.
There’s no confirmed price point for this laptop yet. However, you can probably use the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 as a guide. This older-generation laptop has a full retail price of $1,900. So with that in mind, expect the new version to be somewhere around that price. At the very least, it will probably cost as much as its predecessor.
The “most premium PC display” Samsung has ever offered on a laptop
Samsung offers quite a few displays for PC use. Most of those, of course, are monitors for desktops and laptops using an HDMI out. When it comes to the display on a laptop, the display used on the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, Samsung says, is the most premium PC display it has ever put out.
The company says this is in part thanks to the inclusion of an Intel Arc GPU. Allowing the laptop to deliver the best graphics performance of any Galaxy Book to date. The display also has a resolution of 2880×1800 and a 120Hz refresh rate. That should be fine for some light gaming, but also excellent for general everyday use and entertainment.
Additionally, the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 is slim and lightweight, measuring just 355.4 x 252.2 x 12.8mm and weighing about 3.7 lbs., so, lightweight indeed. The laptop also has a display size of 16 inches, and it can come with either an Intel Core Ultra 7 or Intel Core Ultra 5 CPU. It comes in two colors, Gray and Silver, and has various options for RAM and storage including up to 32GB for RAM, and up to 1TB for storage.
