TECNO has just announced a 2-megapixel SpectraVision camera, which is supposed to improve color accuracy. This announcement comes prior to the TECNO Camon 40 and TECNO AI glasses announcements that will follow tomorrow.

TECNO’s SpectraVision Camera aims to improve color accuracy

This SpectraVision Camera is essentially a color-rendering sensor that utilizes TECNO’s in-house algorithm in order to provide realistic, true-to-life colors.

It utilizes a 9-channel spectral sensor, which is supposed to be able to capture a broader spectrum of light and richer color details. TECNO says that this surpasses traditional 4-channel RGGB and RYYB solutions easily.

TECNO also announced the TECNO Imaging Matrix Technology (TIM), which promises “unparalleled precision in color restoration” that aligns with human vision. It is supposed to work even in challenging conditions.

That tech also works in collaboration with the TECNO Universal Tone Algorithm, which is self-developed software designed to represent skin colors realistically.

The TECNO Camon 40 could debut this camera

What TECNO did not say is what device will be first to use the 2-megapixel SpectraVision Camera. If we had to guess, however, we’d say that the TECNO Camon 40 will. It’s coming tomorrow, and it makes all the sense in the world for this to debut on the device.

TECNO has various other devices on display at MWC 2025. The company is showing off its tri-fold concept smartphone there, along with its immensely slim smartphone that it talked about days ago.

Furthermore, some of the company’s laptops are on display, and more. We’re eagerly awaiting to see what will TECNO have to say about the Camon 40 and its AI glasses tomorrow. You’ll be the first to know, of course.

We’re also hoping that the company’s tri-fold smartphone will become a reality in the near future. The TECNO Phantom V Fold 2 was miles better than its predecessor, and it really does make us quite excited for a tri-fold.
