Three of the new TCL 60 series phones flaunt the brand’s NXTPAPER display technology
Out of the seven new TCL 60 series phones the brand introduced at the MWC 2025 show, three feature the company’s NXTPAPER display technology. This tech offers multi-layer eye protection, anti-glare, and a blue light filter, which allows for softer viewing, complete with a paper-like feeling. The TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G model also has additional AI features like the NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet. The onboard AI can enhance text by offering smart suggestions, including translation, summarisation, drafting emails, and more.
As for the other highlights, the TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A MediaTek MT6835V processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage powers the smartphone. For imaging, it has a 50MP + 5MP dual primary camera setup at the rear and an 8MP selfie snapper. A 5,200mAh battery with 18W fast charging support keeps the whole package running.
TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G & 60 NXTPAPER features
TCL’s 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G is a more high-end offering with a 6.78-inch full HD+ display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a touch-sampling rate of 240Hz. The Dimensity 6100+ processor, supported by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, powers it. Notably, the phone has a more powerful 32MP selfie camera, apart from an additional 2MP depth sensor at the rear, as compared to the 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G variant. A slightly smaller 5,010mAh 18W fast-charging battery backs this one.
The company has powered the TCL 60 NXTPAPER variant with the MediaTek G92 processor, aided by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Notably, the phone flaunts a much larger 108MP main camera at the rear, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. Furthermore, it houses a beefier 5,200mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging tech. Its display features are similar to the TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G model.
As for the pricing, TCL has priced the 60 NXTPAPER and 60 SE NXTPAPER at €199 and €189, respectively. They will be available in markets like Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G will go on sale in Canada in May for CA$325 and later in the US for $200.
TCL has also introduced a high-end tablet and a bunch of budget phones
The TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus is the company’s latest high-end tablet with an 11.5-inch 2.2K display. Furthermore, the tablet debuts the company’s latest TXTPAPER 4.0 display technology. A MediaTek Helio G100 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage powers the tablet. The brand has packed the slate with a beefy 8,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It will go on sale in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America for €249.
The TCL 605, 60 SE, 60 5G, and 60R 5G are budget smartphones with MediaTek processors and large battery capacities. They will be available to buy in select markets starting at €109.
