TCL launched the first phones with NXTPAPER technology

TCL is a TV company primarily, and the company has made innovations in the display market. One of them is the NXTPAPER technology. The company’s tablets primarily use this technology, but the company just announced a change. It just unveiled its new TCL 40 phones that use the NXTPAPER technology.

So, what’s the big deal with this technology? Well, it’s in the name. The NXTPAPER technology is meant to have the screen behave more like actual paper. This means that it will have a paper-like feeling to it. This is great if you’re using a tablet that you want to write on. You’d want to feel like you’re using a sheet of paper and not glass. It’s also really good for the eyes, filtering out blue light that can cause eye strain.

TCL announced the new TCL 40 NXTPAPER phones

The company unveiled two phones in this announcement. The first one is the TCL 40 NXTPAPER and the other one is the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G.

Starting off with the first one, this phone has a 6.78-inch FHD+ display. Since this is a TCL phone, you know that it will have a beautiful display.

This phone has a decent 8GB of RAM and that can be expanded further with an additional 8GB RAM by using storage. Speaking of storage, this phone comes with 256GB of storage.

Lastly, this phone has a 50MP camera on the back, and that’s accompanied by a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP ultrawide camera. Up front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera.

Moving onto the 5G version, this phone has a 6.6-inch HD+ display, so it’s not as sharp as the abovementioned model. It comes with 6GB of RAM and that could be extended an additional 6GB. This phone shares the same 256GB of storage.

Also, this phone shares the same camera specs. The main difference between these phones’ specs is the RAM and screen technology.

If you’re excited to pick up one of these phones, you’ll need to wait a bit until it launches. These phones will officially launch sometime in September. The TCL 40 NXTPAPER will cost €199 and The TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G will cost €249. These phones will launch in Europe first and other markets soon after.
