TCL announces some neat tablets at CES 2023
Let’s start off with the NXTPAPER. TCL built this tablet for people who want to prioritize productivity. This tablet comes with a large 12.2-inch display. It’s not only large, but it’s rather pixel-dense with a resolution of 2160 x 1440. The main selling point of the display is the NXTPAPER display technology. This creates a paper-like experience with an emphasis on filtering blue light.
Digging into the internals, this tablet is running on the octa-core MediaTek MT8771 SoC. This chip uses two ARM Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six ARM Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. This is backed up by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This will grant you some good performance if you want to use this as a work device.
The NXTPAPER 12 Pro has an 8000mAh battery, and it comes with an 18W charger. The company promises up to 13 hours of screen-on-time, but your mileage will vary. Other than that, this tablet comes with Android 12 out of the box.
TCL TAB 8 LE
For people who are looking for a more toned-down tablet experience, there’s the TCL TAB 8 LE. This 8-inch tablet with an HD display will appeal to low-powered users. It comes with 4080mAh battery which the company claims can last all day. Other than that, the TCL TAB 8 LE has 4G LTE connectivity for those who want to stay connected wherever. It comes with 32GB of storage that can expand up to 512GB. You might really use this for watching videos and/or reading.
TCL BOOK X12
For those who want to have a Windows experience, there’s the TCL BOOK X12. This is a tablet that’s designed for power users. This is the company’s first 2-in-1 tablet, and it can be attached to a keyboard for added productivity. This tablet will come with Windows 11 out of the box, so if you’re for an up-to-date Windows experience, then you might want to keep an eye out for this tablet.
This tablet uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7C SoC and can come with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM. This depends on the model that you get. Also, you’ll have either 128GB or 256GB of storage. You’ll have a pixel-dense 1260 x 1440 display. Last, but not least, this computer comes with an included detachable keyboard.
