TCL 305 is the latest aka newest Android Go smartphone to hit the market. This entry-level handset is coming to Europe, says the company. We’re not exactly seeing many Android Go smartphones launch lately.
The TCL 305 is the latest Android Go smartphone to hit the market
The TCL 305, as you can expect, is a budget phone through-and-through, as it’s the case with Android Go devices. As a reminder, Android Go is basically Google’s OS aimed at budget devices.
The TCL 305 looks like it’s made out of plastic, but we can’t confirm that. The device’s bottom bezel is thicker than the rest of them, while a waterdrop display notch is also included here. A front-facing camera is located inside that notch.
The phone has three cameras on the back, and they’re vertically aligned. A rear-facing fingerprint scanner is also included here, and it’s your regular capacitive fingerprint scanner, by the way.
TCL announced two variants of this phone. It is coming in Atlantic Blue and Space Gray color options. The device is fueled by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It features a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display.
The phone offers expandable storage, and a large battery
You will find 2GB of RAM inside of this phone, along with 64GB of internal storage. Do note that you can expand this phone’s storage with a microSD card, though, so you’re not limited to 64GB.
A 5,000mAh battery is also a part of the package. The phone does support 10W wired charging. Android Go software is based on Android 11, and it comes with TCL UI on top of it.
Now, in regards to cameras. On the back, you’ll find a 13-megapixel main camera, which is backed by two 2-megapixel cameras. One of them is a macro camera, while the other is there for depth perception.
TCL did not announce availability details just yet, but the device will become available soon. We do have its price tag, though. This smartphone will cost €205 once it becomes available.
