Summary: The OnePlus 13T is coming with a new customizable button to replace an alert slider, and the company’s exec just gave us a first look at it. He also shared some additional info, though not a lot. The OnePlus 13T will be the first OnePlus phone to utilize this button.
OnePlus has decided to show us the OnePlus 13T’s new customizable button. This comes from OnePlus China President, Li Jie Louis. He shared the image and some information via Weibo.
Here’s your first look at the OnePlus 13T’s customizable button
If you check out the image below, you’ll see the button itself. You’ll notice it’s not particularly big, it actually looks like a power key of sorts. This button will be called ‘Quick Key’, it seems, though the machine translation could be off.
This button will be located on the left-hand side of the phone, in the upper portion of that side, as you can see. It is here to replace the alert slider that has been a part of OnePlus phone for ages.
The company’s exec claims that this will be an upgrade over the Alert Slider. It will allow switching between mute, vibration, and ring modes. On top of that, it will “facilitate easy switching of choices in a series of operations”, says the company’s exec.
It could be called ‘Quick Key’
He also referred to Quick Key as “very practical” and said that the company has “incorporated a very interesting function on this button”. Yes, this button will be customizable, as the company’s CEO promised recently.
The OnePlus 13T is coming soon, and it will be an interesting phone. That device will include a 6.3-inch display, so it will be quite compact. Despite that, however, it will include a large battery on the inside. Its battery size will be at least 6,000mAh, but a 6,200mAh unit has been tipped.
The device is also said to include 80W wired charging and the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. A 50-megapixel main camera is tipped, along with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (2x optical zoom). The device is expected to launch both in China and outside of it.
