If you’re in the market for a new TV, look no further than the Sony X90L. This is a BRAVIA XR LED TV from Sony, which offers Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Perhaps the best part of this TV is the fact that it is currently on sale for $1,598. That is going to save you $200 off of its regular price. Technically it’s current MSRP is $1,198, but it was originally $1,598 when it first launched in July 2023.
Sony’s other models of the X90L are also on sale. With the 55-inch going for $898, the 75-inch at $1,498, the 85-inch at $1,998 and the 98-inch at $7,949. But the 65-inch is the best deal of the bunch. It’s a better discount rate, and it’s a great size for a TV.
As you probably know, Sony is also a movie studio, and it has the PlayStation 5. So you can rest assured that this TV is going to look great for watching content, and also playing games. That’s because Sony wants their movies (and TV shows) as well as their games to look good on their own TV.
Using the Sony Cognitive Processor XR, the X90L is able to provide immersive depth and lifelike picture quality. It also has hundreds of on-screen elements that are processed and remastered to boost color, contrast and clarity. Bringing you an absolutely stunning picture quality. While this is an LED TV, you might forget that it is one. Unless you’re watching something that’s pretty dark. Since it does have full-array local dimming. Meaning that the blacks are going to look a bit more gray. That’s something that can really only be fixed with an OLED or QLED TV.
For the PlayStation 5, Sony has included plenty of great features here, including Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode which is going to provide you with optimized picture quality while gaming and streaming on your PS5 console. Sony has also included HDMI 2.1 with this TV. That unlocks a few more features for the PlayStation 5 as well as the Xbox Series X. That includes 4K120 gaming, Variable Refresh Rate and Auto-Low Latency Mode. Providing you with a really incredible experience.
Inside the X90L, Sony is using Google TV to run the show. That’s going to provide you with thousands of great apps. Like Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+ and much more. This also brings you Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, as well as support for Google Cast. Because Sony is platform-agnostic, it has also included support for Apple’s AirPlay 2.
Finally, Sony also has Dolby Atmos on the X90L, which is rather surprising with how thin it is. But that means that you don’t necessarily need a soundbar. But it can’t hurt. So if you already have a soundbar, feel free to plug it into this TV.
The Sony X90L BRAVIA XR Google TV is a really great TV to pick up, and this price is not going to last long, neither is the stock.
