Netflix’s Stranger Things franchise has become a massive hit since the show’s release spawning several mobile games and various other forms of media, including Stranger Things VR, which will now be making the jump to Sony’s PS VR2 platform.
While Stranger Things VR is based on the franchise, it isn’t a complete 1:1 of the TV show story. Players actually take on the role of Vecna, the main antagonist in the show who surfaces several seasons in. The game essentially lets you view the Stranger Things world from Vecna’s perspective. It can currently be picked up from the PlayStation Store for $24.99 via pre-order. You’ll save a little bit of money if you subscribe to PlayStation Plus as well, with the price coming down to $19.99.
It is worth noting that this discount won’t last forever even if you do continue to subscribe to PlayStation Plus.
Stranger Things VR drops on PS VR2 on December 5
If you own a PS VR2 and you were planning to pick this game up, you have until December 5 at 10AM PST to save money on it through your PlayStation Plus subscription. This is when the offer ends on Sony’s store because this is when the game officially launches. While it’s just now coming to PS VR2, Stranger Things VR actually launched as a Meta Quest exclusive in February of this year.
It was also initially announced all the way back in 2022 when Netflix and developer Tender Claws confirmed the game’s existence.
