GeForce NOW is getting a handful of new games today and NVIDIA has also announced at least one future release with Star Wars Outlaws. For today’s batch of games, nine new titles are being thrown in the mix. That’s nine games you’ll now be able to stream in the cloud. Potentially with up to 4K resolution or up to 120 frames per second if you have a subscription to the Ultimate membership.
Four of the games come from Square Enix and these couldn’t come at a better time. Square Enix is having a publisher sale on Steam right now and two of the four games dropping on GeForce Now today are part of that sale. Both Star Ocean: The Second Story R and Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo are available at 20% off and 40% off respectively. That brings Star Ocean: The Second Story R down to $40 instead of $50, and Paranormasight down to $12 instead of $20. There’s also a demo of Star Ocean: The Second Story R available on Steam too, and that will be playable on GeForce NOW from today.
The best deal so far though, is the addition of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. This is an excellent first-person shooter RPG and it’s quite likely the last Deus Ex game for a while. Given that, Embracer recently shuttered the studio that makes the Deus Ex games. So you should definitely play this one when you have a chance. The even better news is that the version coming to GeForce NOW is the one from the Epic Store. Which is currently free for the rest of today, March 14. The remaining games dropping this week include Hellbreach: Vegas, Outcast which launches on March 15, Balatro, Space Engineers, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.
Star Wars Outlaws will come to GeForce NOW, likely on day one
Those who are looking forward to playing the first open-world Star Wars game will get to do so in the cloud when it launches later this year. NVIDIA has confirmed the game will be available on GeForce NOW once it launches. This will likely be a day-one availability, too. Although NVIDIA hasn’t yet confirmed if it will be streamable on GeForce NOW on its first day of launch, new-release games often are. So we don’t see this being any different unless Ubisoft wants to keep it for Ubisoft+ for a timed exclusive.
There’s also no exact release date for the game. Only that it’s coming sometime in 2024. In addition to GeForce NOW availability, NVIDIA also says the game will launch with support for DLSS 3 and ray-traced effects. Now you’ll need the Ultimate membership to play with those benefits, but you can now sign up for one with a day pass, so you won’t have to spend the full monthly amount.
RTX enhancements for additional games
NVIDIA is constantly adding RTX enhancements to games on its cloud service, and there are a few new games gaining these awesome graphical benefits. Both Naraka: Bladepoint and Portal with RTX are getting full ray tracing and DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction. Diablo IV will also get ray tracing with its update that’s coming this month.
