Another problem with the Pixel 7 Pro surfaced, this time around, it’s an issue with screen flickering. Users are reporting the issue via Google support, and it’s actually a very annoying occurrence.
The Pixel 7 Pro users are having screen flickering & green light problems
The initial post says: “While watching a movie, it started flickering all of a sudden and it’s not getting fixed by any troubleshooting procedures. Have tried everything possible”. Following that, a number of users shared their experiences and screenshots.
Most of the screenshots shared confirm the same experience, but they add another problem to the pile, a green tint. David Bateman says that his display is also flickering and that it “almost looks like there is screen burn in (even though there isn’t)”. He also added: “Also noticed that the screen by the power button has pixels coming on green, but doesn’t stay there”. You can see his issue below.
Lori Logan reported something similar, as you can see in the images below. She also experienced screen flickering, and the green light near the power button.
One user says that he experienced the same problem on two separate Pixel 7 Pro units
Brandon Nutter said that he “had the same green flash issues with 2 separate P7P”, and that Google is “not being helpful about it”. These are only some examples, there are many more in the thread mentioned in the first paragraph.
Needless to say, this should not be happening, and Google should react. This is yet another issue on the pile that we’ve seen since the Pixel 7 series launched. The most problems were Pixel 7 Pro exclusive, and this is one of the worst ones yet.
Users are hoping this is a software issue, so that Google can fix it. If it’s a hardware problem, then Google has a much bigger issue at hand. Let’s hope this is isolated to a small portion of Pixel 7 Pro users, though. We haven’t had an issue with our units, at least not yet.
