We all know Samsung as the display company, so it’s weird to hear about display issues with Samsung phones. According to Sam Mobile, some Galaxy S22 Ultra owners have been experiencing a display issue with their units. As per the report, this seems to only be affecting Galaxy S22 Ultra owners, and not people who own the other variants.

Some Galaxy S22 Ultra owners are having a display issue

The Galaxy S22 (and just about every Samsung flagship since the Galaxy S3) has been praised for having amazing AMOLED displays. Not only that, but the company supplies OLED panels to the mass majority of smartphones out there including Apple, Google, and OnePlus.

Because of this, people double-take when they hear about any Samsung display issues. Some Galaxy S22 Ultra owners reported an issue with their display, and it’s a weird one. This oddly-colored line runs across the screen horizontally. It happens about an inch down the display and it definitely distracts from the content.

What makes this weird is that it happens in the same spot across different units. We don’t know just what caused this issue, but it seems to only affect Galaxy S22 Ultra models. The Galaxy S22 Ultra uses the same screen technology as the other variants, but the size and form factor is very different.

This issue affects only certain devices

This issue doesn’t affect all users; only certain devices are affected. The only users reporting this issue are using the Exynos 2200 model of the phone. While this issue is annoying, it seems that there’s a fix for it. According to Sam Mobile, turning the display to Vivid mode seems to fix the issue. This just points to a minor software bug that an update can iron out. For the time being, Samsung hasn’t replied to this issue, but if enough issues are reported, it might do so.
