It’s not too often that you see the PS5 or PS5 Slim on sale, but right now Best Buy has a deal on one where you can save some money and pick it up for less. You would normally pay $500 for the PS5 Slim Disc Edition but you can currently pick it up for $450, which is $50 off and a downright heck of a deal.
Although PS5s are much easier to come by these days, places can still run out of stock when there are sales happening. So with that in mind, if you’ve been wanting to upgrade to the PS5, take advantage of this price drop as soon as you can. Also worth keeping in mind is that this is just the console and not one of the bundles that come with a free, full game download. Also worth noting is that Best Buy does have the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 Slim bundle listed at the same $450 price. Which would be a better deal if there were any available.
That same bundle is available on Amazon but not for below $500 that we could find. So this really is looking like the best PS5 pricing at the moment. The PS5 Slim comes with Sony’s slightly altered console design. It’s the same overall style, but the console covers look a tad different to account for the new removable disc drive. It also comes with a new horizontal stand, and no longer comes boxed with the vertical stand. As Sony made a new vertical stand that it sells separately.
The PS5 is capable of 4K visuals and up to 120 frames per second in games that support it. Plus this new Slim model comes with an even larger SSD at 1TB.
