Budget gaming doesn’t have to be a downer with a laptop like the Lenovo LOQ 15, which Best Buy is now offering at a discount. The regular price of this gaming laptop is $1,099.99 but you can currently pick it up for $400 off, making the end cost $699.99.
At its regular price, there are significantly better options. But at $699.99 this is a pretty good deal and absolutely worth considering. For starters, the RTX 4050 GPU inside is going to ensure you get decent performance for 1080p gaming. The display is good and has a decent refresh rate of 144Hz which is more than enough for smooth gaming. What I really like about it is that there’s no RGB. While I do appreciate the RGB lighting on gaming gear, even on some of my own, sometimes a simple white backlit keyboard is nice to have. And that’s what Lenovo is offering here.
As a whole the design of the laptop is much less gamer-centric than you’d think too. The only thing that really gives it away is the blue accents on the vents. Aside from that, it’s fairly unassuming. And that might be preferable to some gamers. When it comes to other specs the laptop is sitting at 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. So nothing super powerful here but understandable given this is supposed to be a budget entry. And it’ll excel at that. It also comes with one free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The Ultimate membership comes with access to games on both the PC and Xbox consoles, as well as cloud gaming.
You also get a pretty decent amount of ports with ethernet and multiple USB ports on the back and sides. All-around this is a good gaming laptop for a more affordable price. But make sure you pick it up before the price goes back to normal.
