The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to launch later this year, and its battery capacity has just leaked. It was rumored last year that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have the same battery capacity as its predecessor. Well, that won’t be true, it seems.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 to offer a slightly larger battery
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will ship with a slightly larger battery pack. The source notes that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 (SM-F721) will include two batteries, with models EB-BF721ABY and EB-BF722ABY.
The larger one of the two has a 2,400mAh capacity, while the smaller one comes with a 903mAh capacity. That equals to 3,303mAh battery capacity overall. That is 103mAh more than the Galaxy Z Flip 3 offered.
In the end, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 could end up offering a typical battery size of about 3,400mAh compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s 3,300mAh. It’s a small change, but it will surely be welcomed.
The device will likely launch in August
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to launch in August, at least at the moment. Its predecessor launched in August last year, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3. That Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to launch during the same event as the Galaxy Z Flip 4, by the way.
Samsung still didn’t confirm the event time, of course, as we’re still months away from it. The company likely won’t confirm its second Unpacked event of the year anytime soon. We’re in for quite a few additional rumors and leaks.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 will likely look quite similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. That device was well-received by both critics and consumers, and there’s really no need to change that formula significantly.
The phone may include an improved hinge, though, to help with the display crease which is quite noticeable on the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Its overall design likely won’t change all that much, though. Improved internals will be included, though, of course.
