The Samsung Galaxy S22 series may launch on February 8. This information comes from Korea, and was published by Ddaily. The publication claims this information has been confirmed by Samsung.

The Galaxy S22 series may launch on February 8, globally

It says that a Samsung Electronics official said that the event will be held on February 8. That’s not all, though. The report goes on to say that pre-orders for the devices will start on February 9, and general sales will commence on February 24.

That may as well be accurate, as the Galaxy S22 series is expected to arrive in February. Samsung still didn’t confirm this via its official channels, though that confirmation may arrive soon.

If this is really something that a Samsung Electronics official confirmed, Samsung may even make the news official later today, we’ll see. As most of you know, Samsung will announce three smartphones during this event.

The Galaxy S22 is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S22+, and S22 Ultra. We’ve talked about all three of those phones at length in our previews, as you can see in the links in the previous sentence.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra will differentiate itself quite a bit

The Galaxy S22 Ultra will look considerably different than the Galaxy S22 and S22+. The Galaxy S22 and S22+ will look really similar to their predecessors, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra will look more similar to the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Its top and bottom sides will be completely flat, while it will offer extremely curved sides on both the front and the back. An S Pen stylus will be docked inside the phone, and accessible from the bottom.

Even the phone’s rear camera setup will look different in comparison to the Galaxy S22 and S22+. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will offer the most compelling cameras, on top of that, of course.

All three phones will include top-of-the-line processors. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 will be used, allegedly. The Exynos 2200 is still not official, though, so there’s a chance Samsung may use a different name.

You can expect all three phones to offer 120Hz displays, but the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s will be the most compelling, and highest-res one. Plenty of LPDDR5 RAM will be included in all phones, and much more.
