Samsung was expected to roll out the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta update by the end of July, but it didn’t happen. Now it appears that Samsung fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the latest update. According to a post on X by the tipster @UniverseIce, Samsung delayed the launch of the One UI 7 beta.
Galaxy users will have to wait a little longer for the One UI 7.0 beta update
In the post on X, the tipster states “There are still no plans to launch it [One UI 7.0 beta] in the near future.” Sadly, the source hasn’t provided any clarification as to why Samsung is delaying the One UI 7.0 update. Originally, the update was supposed to start rolling out by the end of July.
This isn’t the first time we have heard about it. Last week, SamMobile reported that Samsung has delayed the One UI 7.0 beta update. One possibility is that the firmware is still buggy and highly unstable. The company appears to be ironing out the major bugs and issues as soon as possible before rolling it out to the public. The Samsung-centric publication suggests that the One UI 7.0 beta update could start rolling out in the third week of August.
Samsung is currently focusing on releasing the One UI 6.1.1 update to more devices first
According to SamMobile, Samsung is focusing on releasing the One UI 6.1.1 update to more devices at the moment. It is one of the main reasons why the One UI 7.0 beta update keeps getting delayed. One UI 6.1.1 came with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July. While it’s not a major update, it will bring the new Galaxy AI features to Samsung’s older flagships.
As for the One UI 7.0 update, the Android 15-based custom skin from the brand will bring tons of new features. It will also come with visual enhancements and performance improvements for Galaxy devices. Let’s hope Samsung irons out all the bugs and soon starts rolling it out.
