Realme has sent out a new teaser for the MWC event, claiming that it will announce the “world’s fastest smartphone charging”. That event will take place on February 28, in case you’re wondering.
Realme will announce “world’s fastest smartphone charging” at MWC 2022
Realme did announce 125W fast charging last year, though it didn’t make it to a single phone from the company yet. Some of you may wonder how fast will this charging solution be. Well, Realme didn’t say anything regarding that, but we do have a good idea.
Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, said a while back, that 150W fast charging is coming. Also, the next step, after 125W fast charging, seems to be 150W charging. So, chances are that Realme will announce it on February 28.
As a side note, Realme has the same parent company as OPPO and OnePlus, BBK Electronics. So, chances are that OPPO will also announce such blazing fast charging during its MWC event, but we’ll see.
Realme also noted that 70-percent of its corporate Research & Development (R&D) resources will go towards technology innovations. Realme says that it has decided to “go premium”.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is coming to Europe
The company did note that the Realme GT 2 Pro will also land in Europe, that announcement will come as part of its MWC event as well. The GT 2 Pro, for those of you who don’t know, is Realme’s new flagship fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
Realme has been rapidly growing ever since it was founded back in 2018. It was founded by a former vice president of OPPO, by the way, whose name is Sky Li.
Xiaomi and BBK Electronics’ companies seem to be leading the charge when it comes to charging. We’re seeing some crazy numbers out there, and it will be interesting to find out more about 150W charging, that’s for sure. Let’s hope that battery health was something Realme focused on.
