Realme has announced its new flagship, the Realme GT 7 Pro. This handset was announced in China, but it will be making its way to a number of other markets too in the near future.
The Realme GT 7 Pro comes with Qualcomm’s most powerful chip
The Realme GT 7 Pro is one of the smartphones fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It’s in the first wave of the phone using Qualcomm’s brand new flagship processor.
This phone is made out of metal and glass, and it comes with a flat display. It has flat sides all around, and its backplate does curve a bit towards the edges. A camera island sits in the top-left corner of the phone’s back.
There are three cameras located there. The phone’s physical buttons sit on the right-hand side, while a display camera hole is included on its display, it’s centered up top. The bezels around the display are very thin.
It includes up to 16GB of RAM and a truly bright display
Its specs are quite compelling, actually. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Realme also used LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. 12GB and 16GB RAM models are available, while three storage options are on offer, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models.
You’ll find a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 2780 x 1264 resolution. The peak brightness, in theory, is 6,000 nits, while we’re looking at a 450 PPI here. This panel also has a 120Hz refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming.
A large battery is included, along with 120W charging & Android 15
A 6,500mAh battery sits on the inside of the phone, while 120W charging is supported. It has “ultra-linear dual speakers”, and a dual microphone setup two. There are two nano SIM card slots included, and 5G is supported.
An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package. Android 15 comes pre-installed, with Realme UI 6.0 on top of it. The device is also IP68 and IP69 certified, just like the OnePlus 13. You don’t really see an IP69 certification often outside of rugged phones.
You’ll also find a huge heatsink here, and a triple camera setup on the back
This device also comes with a huge heatsink. It has a 11480mm² Dual VC heatsink on the inside. The Realme GT 7 Pro is supposed to remain cool even if you’re playing the most demanding games out there. There are various other gaming features included here, on the software side of things.
What about its cameras? Well, the main one is a 50-megapixel unit (1/1.56-inch sensor size, 24mm f/1.8 aperture lens, Sony IMX906 sensor, 84.4-degree FOV, OIS). The periscope telephoto unit is a 50-megapixel camera too (Sony’s IMX882 sensor, 1/1.95-inch sensor, 32.8-degree FoV, f/2.65 aperture, 3x optical zoom).
There is also an ultrawide camera on the back, an 8-megapixel unit. It’s offering a 112-degree FoV and an f/2.2 aperture lens. A 16-megapixel camera (f/2.45 aperture) sits on the phone’s front side.
The Realme GT 7 Pro comes in three colors
The Realme GT 7 Pro comes in Light Range White (white), Mars (orange), and Star Trail Titanium (dark gray) colors. It measures 162.45 x 76.89 x 8.55mm and weighs 222.8 grams.
The phone’s pricing in China starts at CNY3,699 ($521), and goes all the way up to CNY4,799 ($549), depending on the model. The price tags will be different in other markets.
