Razer is back with new products for creators having officially announced two new Seiren microphones, the Seiren V3 Chroma and the Seiren V3 Mini. As you can tell from the name these are Razer’s third-generation Seiren mics. They’ve gotten a few updates and tweaks while retaining the features and quality that have made the Seiren mics popular in the first place. The most notable change is of course the Chroma lighting on the Razer Seiren V3 Chroma.
This is Razer’s first mic that actually has RGB lighting on it. This is, surprising, given that Chroma is on just about everything Razer makes these days. What’s neat about the Chroma on this product, is that it’s not just sitting around the base of the mic. Or shining through a small Razer tri-snake logo. Instead, the entire top half of the mic lights up save for the speaker grille holes. For creators who thrive on adding more flashy stuff to their setup, this is quite possibly the perfect mic for you.
If you don’t necessarily need or want the Chroma, Razer also has the Seiren V3 Mini. And this mic is what you go for if something more compact would suit your setup best. It’s a tiny little guy that’s still capable of putting out some big sound. And it has a super easy-to-use mute function for those times when you need to quiet yourself down. One tap on the top button and you’re good to go.
The Razer Seiren V3 Chroma responds to in-game events and stream alerts
One of the main reasons to use anything that’s Chroma-compatible is because of the reactive lighting effects. When you play games Chroma peripherals tend to react to certain in-game moments. Not too unlike the Nanoleaf 4D kit. It doesn’t happen with every game but there are plenty of games that support Chroma with this feature. And the Seiren V3 Chroma will go off like a light show during these moments. And since it’s right in front of you while you stream, those effects are going to be visible to anyone watching for a little extra pizzazz. In addition to that the Chroma lighting on the mic will react to stream alerts.
Now both the Seiren V3 Chroma and Seiren V3 Mini are USB microphones so you’ll plug them directly into your PC via an open USB port. They also feature onboard audio mixing with the Razer Synapse software if you need to make some adjustments. Razer is selling both microphones from today with prices starting at $129.99 for the Seiren V3 Chroma, and $59.99 for the Seiren V3 Mini. You also have a few different choices for colorways with the Mini model. It comes in Black, Quartz, and White. The Seiren V3 Chroma only comes in Black.
