Razer, like most companies, prides itself on achieving firsts, and now it’s promoting its latest Blade 15 gaming laptop as the world’s first laptop with a 240Hz OLED display. For anyone not concerned with gaming, a laptop with a high refresh rate display like this probably isn’t too big of a deal. For gamers though, it’s a pretty exciting development.
OLED displays are well-known for their brightness and vibrant colors. Slap a high refresh rate on them and they really only get better. The new Razer Blade 15 comes packed with specs that you’d be proud to have on a gaming laptop. Though as always, those specs do with a high price tag.
Price aside though, if you have the money to spare the new Blade 15 is offering quite a lot. In addition to the 240Hz refresh rate, the OLED display has a QHD resolution. The laptop is also powered by Intel’s 12th Gen Core i9-12900H CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. You can also get up to 32GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD for storage. If 1TB isn’t enough, an additional M.2 slot will let you expand your storage.
Razer will begin selling the new Blade 15 with a 240Hz OLED display in Q4
You can pick from a wide array of Blade 15 laptops on Razer’s website right now. But the new model with the 240Hz OLED display isn’t going on sale till later this year. Razer doesn’t mention exact dates, but it will launch sometime in Q4 of 2022. The price? A whopping $3,499. If that’s a bit much for your liking, other versions of the Blade 15 still come with 240Hz displays.
You can grab the 3070 Ti model which still has a QHD 240Hz display and many of the same specs for $2,999. Or you can drop that price even further with the standard 3070 model with an FHD display and a 144Hz refresh rate for $2,099. Razer will sell the new Blade 15 on its own website and in RazerStore locations, as well as through retail partners.
So once it does drop, you shouldn’t have a whole lot of trouble finding one.
