Airing between 2006 and 2014, Psych is the critically acclaimed police procedural comedy aired on USA Network in the States starring James Roday and Dulé Hill. Having been available on Netflix in international territories, we can report that the show is due out on April 30th but notably excludes the US.
Created by Steve Franks, the show revolves around Shawn Spencer, who possesses a superhero-like ability to solve crimes quickly, which lands him a job within the police force as a psychic.
Following the conclusion of the main series, it led to a trilogy of movies, with the most recent dropping in 2021 with more on the way.
Although Netflix has not yet announced the series coming to the service, we can confirm that all eight seasons, consisting of 120 episodes, will arrive on April 30th, 2024 (or as late as May 1st in some regions).
Regions getting the show (but not limited to) include Netflix in the United Kingdom, Netflix Italy, Canada, Turkey, Brazil, and plenty of others are getting the series. The Netflix ID for the show is 70153394.
Of course, this isn’t entirely new news (beyond the date), as we managed to scoop earlier this year that Psych was among a bunch of licensed shows hitting Netflix in international territories back in January 2024. Other shows that have either dropped or yet to come to Netflix from that collection include NCIS, Law & Order, House MD, and Parenthood.
Will Psych be coming back to Netflix in the United States?
As it stands, there’s no confirmed arrival of Psych back on Netflix US for the moment. That’s despite the fact that Netflix in the US has upped its licensing of USA Network shows over the past year, with titles like Suits, Royal Pains, and Monk all rejoining or joining the service for the first time.
For much of the 2010s, Netflix US did stream the show, but it was eventually removed from the service in October 2016.
Although there’s no sign of a Netflix US return, you do have two main streaming options for the show in the States. Psych is currently available in full on both Peacock and Prime Video, and the movies are also available on those two platforms.
