Sony is rolling out accessibility tags to the PlayStation Store on PS5 consoles this week. The company announced the addition of the accessibility tags on April 3. Noting that players will now be able to discover games with accessible features that suit their gameplay needs.
Accessibility tags are only available on the PS5 console. They are however visible for both PS4 and PS5 games. Once you go into the store, you can click on a game to go to its store page and then tap the triangle button on the DualSense to bring up accessibility features. What comes up is a page that lists every accessibility feature associated with that game. Complete with descriptions about the feature is more accessible. Everything is labeled neatly and categorized too, so things are more organized.
For instance, the Visuals category might show you that certain bits of text are presented in a way that’s easier to read.

For now, you won’t find these tags on every single game. It seems Sony is starting small and focusing the new tags on its in-house titles. In addition to some from its biggest partners. For example, in-house games like Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Days Gone will have the tags. Partner games like Death Stranding Director’ Cut and others will feature these tags as well.
Sony says it’s also working with developers to implement them, and devs have over 50 to choose from. The company is just starting to roll out the feature this week. So while it begins hitting consoles today, it may take a few days for all PS5 owners to begin seeing them. Sony states that it’s working with a “wide range of developers to implement this feature in their game hubs on PS5 in the coming weeks and months.”
