Sony has officially announced the next round of free monthly games coming for PlayStation Plus members, and it includes Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Also joining the roster for January 2023 are Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2. This isn’t the first time each of the monthly games in the list has been a pretty big deal, and it certainly won’t be the last.
Although, most months usually include one major game that could be considered a must-have. That really isn’t the case with next month’s titles however, as each one commands a decent following. While Fallout 76 had its growing pains just after launch, it has been improved quite a bit. And When it comes to Axium Verge 2, this follow-up to the popular metroidvania original is sure to grab your attention.
That is, unless you hate metroidvania style games. Either way, all three games this coming month are great pickups. And more often than not that isn’t the case.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the star of PlayStation Plus for January
While the other two games are certainly decent, the game that shines brightest here is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Interestingly enough, its currently on sale as part of Sony’s currently ongoing holiday sale. Notably you can pick up the Deluxe Edition version for $7.49. The Deluxe Edition typically costs $49.99, so this is a pretty damn good deal.
That being said, you may find it unnecessary to buy the Deluxe Edition. Even at such a good price, when the Standard Edition is going to be free. And we wouldn’t blame you there.
The main difference between the two, is that the Deluxe Edition comes with two skins that you can be used in-game. The Crimson BD-1 skin and the Crimson Mantis skin. It also comes with a digital artbook and “Director’s Cut” videos with footage on the making of the game.
If none of those things are important to you, scoop this game up for free when it lands. All three games will be available to claim at no extra charge for PlayStation Plus members beginning January 3, which is next Tuesday.
