The Pixel 7a has been leaking for quite some time now, and quite frankly, the phone is far from being a secret at this point. Google itself teased the device, but the vast majority of info regarding the phone leaked out already. Thanks to two new, separate leaks, we get to take another look at hands-on Pixel 7a images and specs. The pricing is mentioned here as well, but it’s not accurate, as it seems to be from a reseller, so it’s higher than it should be. The phone will cost $499.
The Pixel 7a hands-on images and specs leak once again
The Pixel 7a marketing images already leaked, but different ones are available now, unofficial ones, it seems. If you check out the gallery below this paragraph, you’ll get to see a bunch of them. These come from Paras Guglani and Newzonly.
These images do reveal a lot of info. Not only do they show us the device from various angles, but they confirm that a 6.1-inch fullHD+ OLED display will be included. That display will offer a 90Hz refresh rate, and be flat.
The Google Tensor G2 SoC is also confirmed here, a chip that fuels the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro flagships. A 64-megapixel main camera is mentioned, as is a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. The phone will also include a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device will include 8GB of RAM, and offer IP67 certification
These images also confirm that the device will offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device, while the phone will be IP67 rated for water and dust resistance.
It seems like Google will stick with Gorilla Glass 3 here, which is not the best news. Gorilla Glass 3 is quite dated at this point, and it is not the best protection against scratches. You’ll probably want to install a screen protector, if one doesn’t arrive with the phone.
Both a fingerprint scanner and facial scanning are mentioned here too. The phone will offer an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, and it will be able to scan your face thanks to the front-facing camera.
The phone will measure 152.4 x 72.9 x 9mm, while it will weigh 193 grams. It will be bigger than its predecessor, despite the fact it’ll include the same display size. It will also be heavier too.
Now, a separate leak shares some hands-on images with us. You can check out those in the gallery below, there are 6 images included here. They’re showing off the white model, which includes a silver frame and camera visor.
