The Pixel 7a is coming on May 10, and its retail box has just appeared online… again. It leaked not long ago. The box itself looks exactly as you’d expect it to, considering this is a Google device. Two retail boxes actually appeared, packing black and white versions of the phone. As a reminder, blue and coral options are also coming.
The Pixel 7a retail box surfaced, confirming some extra info
Now, the box itself does show us the device itself, again, but that’s not all. Some details are listed on the back, that will provide us with more information about the device. First and foremost, the phone will not include a charger, though that is expected.
Google doesn’t necessarily mention that on the box, but it does list the charging cable and a Quick Switch Adapter, but no charging brick. So… that’s confirmation enough, basically. The Pixel 6a doesn’t include one either, and neither do the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
The box confirms that the phone will feature a 6.1-inch panel, and offer 128GB of internal storage. It is also confirmed that 5G mmWave connectivity won’t be offered on the Google Store variant. The same happened last year, so it’s not exactly surprising. Sub-6GHz 5G is supported, though.
The Pixel 7a will offer the Hearing Aid Compatibility Rating of M3/T4
Another interesting tidbit is the mention of the Hearing Aid Compatibility Rating of M3/T4 for acoustic and induction hearing aids. Google offered the same on all of its devices post Pixel 6 Pro, which is nice to see.
What’s interesting is that each color has a different model number, it would seem. The black model has a model number of GWKK2, while the white variant comes with a model number of GWKK3.
The Pixel 7a will become official on May 10, during the Google I/O keynote. It will launch alongside the Pixel Fold and the Pixel Tablet. Google will also talk about Android 14, AI, and more.
