Both smartphones are made out of metal and glass, but the materials are not the same. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is made out of titanium and glass, with a bit of aluminum thrown into the mix. Vivo opted for aluminum and glass for the Vivo X200 Pro. Both smartphones have flat sides, but that’s where the similarities end. The iPhone 16 Pro Max has flat back and front panels, while the ones on the VIvo X200 Pro are a bit curved. They’re quad micro-curved, which is the proper term. In other words, both its front and back sides are slightly curved on all four sides. The display on the phone is still flat, though.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max has more buttons overall. It includes the power/lock button on the right, along with the Camera Control button. On the left, you’ll find the volume up and down buttons, along with an Action Button. The Vivo X200 Pro only has the standard power/lock and volume rocker buttons. They’re also almost identical in terms of thickness. Vivo is using two different glass backplates, and its weight does differ between models, a bit. The two phones are very similar in terms of weight, the difference is a handful of grams.

The performance they both offer is outstanding, though. These two processors are amongst the top 3 chips in the mobile world right now. They can handle anything with ease, basically, and these two smartphones prove that. During regular, everyday use, both smartphones are quite snappy and can handle anything, even intense multitasking. The animations can slow things down a bit, but there’s a solution for that. The point is, the performance is great.
The same can be said for gaming, actually. Both smartphones can handle the most demanding games from their respective platforms without a problem. Yes, both of them do get quite warm during longer gaming periods, but overheating should not be an issue with either of them.
