If you’re eyeing solid mid-range headphones but don’t want to compromise on features and battery life, this news is for you. Philips has announced a range of new audio products, including the Philips H8000E active noise-canceling (ANC) headphones, which might be its hero audio product for this year. So, what’s in store for you?
Philips’ new H8000E ANC headphones pack some truly impressive specs
The Philips H8000E headphones feature a folding design and are pretty lightweight. They’re made from recycled plastic materials, keeping the company’s sustainability goals in mind. The headphones pack a pair of 40mm graphene-coated drivers. To remind you, graphene-coated drivers are rare in mid-range headphones, so it’s a big plus. If you are unaware, graphene is a thin material that ensures superior sound with less distortion.
These wireless headphones feature Bluetooth 5.4 and are compatible with the high-quality LDAC codec for producing high-res audio. Not to mention, they also support LC3 codec and Bluetooth Auracast. There are five mics on the H8000E headphones, including a pair of AI mics for calls. Four of the five mics support active noise cancellation (ANC).
Therefore, you never have to worry when using them outdoors in a noisy and windy environment. What’s nice is that you can choose from five levels of ANC using the Philips Headphones app. The best thing about the Philips H8000E ANC headphones is that they come with easily replaceable batteries and detachable ear pads.
Philips promises massive battery life
Philips claims that the H8000E headphones can offer 70 hours of playback time on a single charge with ANC off. On the other hand, you’ll get about 50 hours of battery life with ANC on, which is truly impressive. For those who are always in a rush, just 10 minutes of charging can get you 8 hours of playback time.
Philips hasn’t revealed the price of the Philips H8000E ANC headphones, but referred to them as “mid-range.” So, it’s possible that the price won’t be harsh on your wallet. The company is set to launch these headphones in September 2025 in the US, UK, and Europe.
